A kanban board that stays on your machine.

No account, no server, no sync.

Free. It opens straight into a board.

What's inside

One set of cards, seen four ways.

Most tools make you choose between a board and a calendar and then keep two copies of the truth. Kani keeps one. Every view below is the same cards, arranged differently.

Board

Columns you name yourself, drag to reorder, and cards that move between them. The view you will keep open all day.

Calendar

Drop a card on a day to reschedule it. Scroll the heading to travel by month or by year. Anything undated waits in a tray instead of disappearing.

Timeline

Every dated card as a bar, packed into lanes that never collide, so a crowded week is obvious before you are standing in it.

Summary

Hours as a heat grid, thirty-day trends, and how much runway is left before the due dates land. This board, or all of them at once.

Cards that carry their weight

Markdown notes written in place with no preview to toggle, an automatic ticket code (LNCH-014) that never changes, tags, a due date, and a timer.

Command deck

Ctrl K finds any card by title or ticket code, jumps between views and workspaces, or moves a result to another column without leaving the keyboard.

Your data

It never leaves the device.

This is the whole premise, not a setting. Kani has no account system and no server of ours to send anything to, which means there is nothing to breach, nothing to subpoena, and nothing that stops working when a company loses interest.

Read the privacy policy

Stored in your browser
Cards, columns, notes, tags and tracked hours live in localStorage, and card pictures in IndexedDB. Closing the tab changes nothing.
Yours to take out
Export writes the whole board to a JSON file, import reads it back. That is also how you move to another machine — deliberately, when you decide to.
Works with the network off
There is no loading state, because there is nothing to load. The board is already on your disk.
What we do measure
Anonymous page and feature analytics, plus ads on the free tier — never the contents of a card. In Europe nothing loads until you say yes.

Pricing

Free forever. Paying is for the extras.

Nothing is ever locked behind a payment that you have already written down. Your cards stay readable, exportable and yours on every tier — what you buy is more room and a quieter screen.
